This was indeed the most exciting thing that had happened to me that week. I cannot understate how nervous I got. My mom can attest.

I actually think two of my neighbors got dogs during this pandemic. Pet adoption rates have understandably gone way up since the lockdown. I’ve fancied the thought as well, but never seriously considered going through with it. Just wouldn’t fit my current living situation.

This has pretty much been my life for the last six months. I wake up at 8:30 and look at my phone: news, weather, emails, etc. I try to push getting out of bed as far as I can while still reporting for work by 9.

The original plan for this comic was to summarize my initial impressions and experiences with online dating, but a lot changed in half a year (and it’s been quite the year). Some backstory: in January, my girlfriend of nearly two years broke up with me. In March, the quarantine hit.

I finally made the jump. Full credit to my friend Danny who planted the seed by gifting me two Tombow calligraphy pens for my birthday. At the time, I was resolute in my allegiance to graphite and apprehensive of bringing ink into the fold.
